In this exclulsive interview Mr. Hodge will be discussing his "Favorite Confederate" buried in Section 16 in Arlington National Cemetery, Private Alexander Hunter.

Since 1985 Robert Lee has worked on a number of “Hollywood” productions related to the War. From ABC’s North and South, to TNT's Gettysburg and Andersonville, to many episodes of Civil War Journal on The History Channel, culminating in portraying Nathan Bedford Forrest. In 1999 Hodge started making his own films, principally Spotsylvania Court House, Franklin, and Perryville, that have received numerous accolades from experts and buffs alike.

Robert Lee has been a professional researcher since 1991 working with the United States Army, and many authors and historians. Hodge worked five years at Time-Life Books as a principal researcher for the 18-volume series “Voices of the Civil War” and “The Illustrated History of the Civil War”.

Hodge has been featured on, or in, The Washington Post, New York Times, The Late Late Show, NPR’s Talk of The Nation, The New Yorker, The Economist, The Huffington Post, Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The BBC, C-SPAN, C-SPAN 2 Book TV, National Geographic, PBS, The Australian Broadcast Company, Preservation Magazine, The Arts and Entertainment Channel, Alabama Public Television, The History Channel, and numerous others. Much of this attention was received because of the 1999 New York Time best-selling book Confederates in the Attic in which Hodge appears.

ABOUT US:

SAVE SOUTHERN HERITAGE Inc. is a not for profit corporation that educates & advocates on behalf of Southern Heritage & History.  It was started in 2015 in response to the knee-jerk Anti-Southern institutionalized bullying and “Eracism” levied against the people of South Carolina by Governor Nikki Haley, after she broke all previous agreements about how South Carolina’s historical veterans and their symbols should be treated and respected. The Florida branch was activated in mid-January 2016, in response to three initiatives in the Florida Legislature that are part of a hate campaign led by Anti-American extremists, who refuse to respect the various cultures that make up the fabric of Florida’s society.

Since that time, it has grown in membership and has been active in battles over American History and throughout Florida including the “We’ll Remember in November Campaign” that resulted in #heritagehater candidates to lose elections in Florida and others to win.
